Linda Darby, 64, was convicted of the 1970 murder of her husband and in 1972 she climbed a fence at her Indiana prison and escaped. Since that time she has remained at large, remarried and raised a family.
She was found in Tennessee where the sheriff said that she had never been in any trouble. She is now awaiting extradition back to Indiana. Her most recent marriage is her third and she has 7 children.

Wow, I'm really curious as to the details surrounding her crime. For her to go through the rest of her life without breaking another law, not even a traffic ticket, makes me wonder why her first husband ended up dead. Also interesting is her other marriages ended with divorce...not murder.
