i live in the area affected by the hurrican ike. i remember when tim miller's daughter went missing and then when her remains were found. i became interested in missing persons and esp. any topic where there is violence against women or children involved. i myself was once a victim of domestic violence and it is by sheer luck and the psychic connection between my eldest daughter and myself that i survived.i always watch nancy grace and while mostly i agree w/ her viewpoints i am consumed w/ searching over the internet about missing children. i wish no family would ever have to go through this heartache. i would love to press for very stiff death penalty every time a child is killed by an adult and life for molesting children. i am a big time advocate of the death penalty and feel the needle is too easy, we should bring back the electric chair. perps should feel the terror ...imo.

Thank you so much for the welcome. :) I've been feeling almost like a voyeur since I seem to know all the bloggers and posters in true crime but yet I haven't been actively posting. Looking forward to jumping on the bandwagon! :)

Thanks so much for your visit. My blog doesn't get a lot of traffic, but it is a labor or love for me.

Thanks, Delilah.
Would love to help however I can. Just looked at your mothersarevanishing site. Very good work! As "Erased," my book, makes clear, so many of the intentionally "disappeared" are pregnant women and young mothers. I'd like to know what you have in mind, but would be happy to join the 'ning' thing and do what I can. (I'm still a newbie at this technology and don't really understand how it works very well so you will have to advise.)

Best,
Marilee Strong

HEY MY SWEET GIRLS! I HAVE NOT DROPPED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH. I HAVE MY FATHER IN LAW HERE FOR 2 WEEKS AND DAYS ARE "JAMMED PACKED." PLUS I AM TRYING TO GET THINGS TOGETHER FOR MY DAUGHTER'S 5TH B-DAY PARTY ON SATURDAY.
MY THOUGHTS ARE ALWAYS WITH LILLY AND YOU ALL. ALSO OUR MISSING. I HAD TO TAKE A STEP BACK FOR AWHILE TO. IT IS HARD TO THINK OF THESE MISSING AND WHAT THEY HAVE GONE THROUGH. I GET TOO ATTACHED. I KNOW THAT SOUNDS SELFISH.
I AM ALWAYS HERE. YOU ALL KNOW HOW TO GET INTOUCH WITH ME IF YOU NEED ME. I SAID I WAS HERE FOR THE LONG HAUL....AND I AM. NEXT WEEK SHOULD BE BETTER FOR ME TO GET BUSY WITH WHAT WE HAVE TO DO. I AM NOT ABANDING ANY OF YOU OF LILLY. YOU ALL ARE IN MY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS. MY HEART ACHES. BUT I KNOW THAT YOU ALL WILL UNDERSTAND. I LOVE YOU ALL AND I AM HONORED TO BE HERE IN THIS BATTLE WITH YOU ALL.
LOVES FROM JAMIE!

Delilah, Thanks for your thoughts on my book, Erased: Missing Women, Murdered Wives. I'm doing everything I can to get the word out on this, so your support is greatly appreciated. (We also love it when friendly folks write nice reviews on Amazon...helps ward off some of the ....strange people that take out there malevolence there.) Thanks especially for all of your good work on these cases! I fully understand how strange it is that women go missing and no one seems to listen...

About Me:
It seems to me that so many young women are just vanishing, getting little or no media coverage, and minimal help from law enforcement agencies.

I would like to focus on different cases of missing mothers that I have run into from a variety of sources. I would also like to link to agencies which can help the families of these missing mothers in any capacity. It is a frustration that I have been seeing more and more as I read different message boards and blogs which report missing people. Many times the internet is the only exposure some of these cases will ever get.

I have made many great contacts over the last few months and continue to educate myself and make myself available to any who are sincerely and actively working for the cause of finding missing people.

Missing children, as they should, receive so much attention through Amber Alerts, Megan's Law, and several other proactive legislation. Missing mothers are often victims of abuse at the hands of a spouse or boyfriend and often times accused of walking away from their lives. They get very little attention from Law Enforcement simply for that reason.

I would like to be an agent of change for these women.

I would like to bring these cases to the mainstream so that they are recognized for what they are.

I would love to see a movement to help victims of abuse before they become missing mothers.

I sincerely hope, as readers, you will join me.

We are hoping that those who join will bring their talents and help us coordinate whatever areas show a need.
